Created by the Harvard University Library, this collection provides general background information on diseases and epidemics worldwide. It is organized around significant “episodes” of contagious disease from world history including Philadelphia's yellow fever epidemic of 1793, London's Great Plague of 1665, and others. The site provides digitized copies of books, serials, pamphlets, incunabula, and manuscripts totaling over 500,000 pages.
